I just discovered that hitting the “J” key “jumps” you ahead to the next story or item in your timeline on your computer. Also, I discovered that hitting the “K” key “bacKs” you up to the previous story. Hopefully this is helpful.
None of the keyboard shortcuts listed works in Internet Explorer (IE) on Facebook using my PC and Windows 7. For instance, pressing alt + / is supposed to take me to the search box but does nothing, alt + 1, alt + 2, alt + 3, and so on all do nothing in IE. Also, I saw Ankit posted that the keyboard shortcuts only work in Firefox if you press the Shift Key first. This works for most of the shortcuts in Firefox but Shift + Alt + / does nothing, it doesn’t take me to the search box; Shift + Alt + 7 does not take me to my privacy settings, it takes me to my activity log. What am I missing? I’m still left a little confused. Anyway thanks for the link to Facebook tips and tricks and Facebook emoticon list with keyboard combinations. At some point, when I get a chance I may look at all this further and even use it.
